This is super thin. They have thicker Fleece ones that even zip up. But with all of these you have to remove it once in the car.

We had a cozy cover for my son. Loved it!

We have a Bundle Me and love it! Our son was born in October (in Wisconsin) and this kept him cozy all winter long! Such a great investment.

We live in Minnesota and like the car seat canopies like this in the winter. The thicker ones are just weird to me. We use a blanket in the car seat too though, especially since we don't actually use the car seat canopy in the car.

@jmarieg it took me a while to figure it out (being my first kiddo), but once it was situated well in the carseat we didn't have to take it out until the season changed. I like that the top completely unzips so it was easy to get baby strapped in/out. It also gave the carseat a little more coziness/closeness when he was a newborn because of the padding on the sides.

For us, it worked well to tighten the car seat straps on baby after the Bundle Me was installed initially. We didn't need to loosen the straps to take kiddo in and out, but I think that's more of a personal preference.

@shay2beautiful anything that goes under the baby in the car is not safe it interferes with the straps (makes them looser than they are suppose to be) so I'd go with a cozy cover of some sort I loved mine with my daughter she was born in January
