On my way to Children’s! My friend picked Dakota up by her hands and we think that she’s pulled her wrist out of place or something. Poor girl has screamed bloody murder since and keeps holding her wrist. My friend is tore all to hell because she feels horrible for even picking her up that way. Please keep your fingers crossed that it’s not too bad! (Pic because she’s pitiful she cried so hard for so long and she’s resting now before we get to the hospital)

Pulling a child by their wrist or forearms can cause dislocation VERY easy. We used to see it all the time in ER. Parents think it's fun to "swing" their kids by the arms but that is soooooo not good. They lack the strength to pull back when it hurts. I hope she's okay but if it is out of place or broken don't be alarmed if they call CPS, it's just protocol.

When I was little my friend's parent's each pulled her arms to lift her and pulled them each out of socket..yeah NOT recommended :( poor baby has to be painful

@girlmom., oh my! 😳 I thought she okay to be forward facing now. I’ll turn her back around. Thank you! Also, how tight are they supposed to be? They leave horrible marks on her neck so I always feel like I’ve got them too tight but idk 😩😩😩

@lovelily, the nurse said it was nurse maids elbow or something like that she fixed it within seconds and discharged us said it could bore sore for the next few days but she’s already moving it a little bit now. I was scared they’d call CPS for having an injury like that but they said it’s really common in small kids and sent us on our way lol

@sherrynygirl, she was pitiful! Wouldn’t move it, kept hoping her wrist and her cry was the worst I’ve ever heard her make! Literally broke my heart to not be able to calm her down any at all and knowing she was in pain! 😔😔 luckily she’s all good now and just a little sore but moving it a little and not crying anymore thank goodness

@caseyann19, most states now require you to rearface until they are 2 but even once they are 2 they are still so little so rearfacing until they reach the height/weight requirements of the seat is best. When rearfacing the straps come from below or at the shoulders and should always be tight enough that you can’t pinch excess fabric. Chest clip should be level with armpits. But yes her straps are too lose for sure. Also once she is forward facing the straps need to come from above or at her shoulders, not below so it looks here like you would need to raise them up. But turning her back around is definitely best right now. ♥️ if you have anymore questions please post them! There are so many of us who are happy to help. ☺️
