We are planning a trip to SC the end of September to meet up with family. We have driven twice to Texas, with our now 3 year old. At the time she was a little over 1, and almost 2 the second time. It was 27 hours from where we are to there, and we did okay with her, she doesn't mind her carseat so it wasn't a big deal.

Now we have two kids, our youngest will be just over 1 and the drive will be about 13 hours total to get there. Any mommas that have travelled with young kiddos have any advice, tips, tricks? Anything is appreciated!

Thanks in advance. 😊

I took a 12 hr trip with my 1 year old in april. She did okay for the most part but we had to stop alot so the kids could burn some energy. I also have a dvd player in my van so that helped alot. We watched her favorite movies when she started getting crabby

@mom4m We have a dvd player, and tablet, maybe lots of toys lol.

My youngest doesn't love her carseat as much as the oldest did, so I'm not sure how that'll go.

I also only plan on doing 6ish hours a day so we can stop frequently for them.

Best bet would be to drive through the night if you can. Youll gain the most distance at night while theyre asleep. Especially if your kids sleep 8-10-12 hours at night then youd only have to keep them distracted for a couple hours in the morning
