Haidyn will be 2 in October. When’s the right time for preschool? How old was your toddler when they started any type of school? (I spoke with a retired teacher, she told me wherever I go just make sure there’s around 8 kids no more than that and to make sure there’s at least 2 teachers there.)

My daughter started Montessori school 3 days a week at age 2.5. Her class size varied from 8-15 kids depending on the day since not all the kids went everyday. The teacher student ratio in California is 12:1 but they always have aids to help with changing diapers, going to the bathroom, lunch time, etc. My daughter is almost 4 now and is going 4 days a week. She’s doing amazing and is learning so much.
You can start your daughter around age 2 but maybe only a couple days a week to see how she does.
My son started at around 20 months old. His school is small and his class is even smaller only 5 kids :) he goes 3x a week for 6.5 hrs a day.
My daughter is 4 and she's in head start. They were about maybe 15 or 20 kids in her class and 2 teachers. Monday through Friday. 8:30-3:30 but I can pick her up at any time.
My son is almost 2.5 and just started preschool at a church. They keep the classes really small, there are only 6 kids in his class. He only goes 2 days a week from 9:30-1:30.
