Does anyone know how they treat earaches in adults at the emergency room? I’ve been in constant pain for past 4 days and I’m basically living off of Advil. I went to urgent care and all they gave me was a z pack and it’s not helping. Idk what else to do, I’m in so much pain

@monavidaa, all have I’d Advil, aleve, or aspirin. So what would be better to alternate with?

Yup a garlic cut in your ear helps! I also ate raw garlic (yup I know 😫) and that helped me tremendously!! Also a warm compress.

@kclaireeabbey, that stinks! I’m sorry! Usually your pain should be better now with antibiotics. My favorite kind of pain relief is excedrin extra strength. Maybe if you haven’t tried it, pick some up.

I’d actually go back to the urgent care and see what else they can do. Maybe your ear drum has bursted since? 🙁
