You can start off with 1% if you want, I did half & half with my daughter & slowly went towards more milk than formula. But I used 2% (:

I started giving my son 2% at 11 months

@_mommyoftres, yeah my daughters pediatrician said I could start off with 2% if I wanted too as long as she was eating food regularly that 2% was fine.

Now if your baby don’t yet and you still have baby on strictly formula then whole milk would be great to start off with.

Whole milk until 2 is what our pediatrician told us.
