At this church, not this past Sunday but the Sunday before, this woman who is said to be a prophet…

I’m sorry, but I don’t think Satan is working against your labor. It will happen when it’s supposed to happen. Just focus on you right now, and don’t let someone’s prediction get inside your head too much.

@scruffy.nerf.herder It was the first and only time I will ever be attending. I went with a friend, and it was all just a bit extreme for me.

@scruffy.nerf.herder It defintely won't! I just had never seen anything like it... I grew up in Church of Christ, then Baptist Church of my own choosing. I haven't had a church anymore in a long while but I still pray everyday and have a connection. But I went with a friend and idk what kind of church this even was... but they were all speaking in tongues around me, and she prophesied all this stuff. To be honest I thought like Jesus was the last prophet, and until he comes back we are to believe no other prophet. But my friend thinks she is "blaspheming the holy spirit" by doubting anything this woman says.

I will say this I grew up Pentecostal Apostolic and attended one of the most anointed/holy spirit filled churches where I'm from. Ppl from all over would come just because as soon as you walk in you could feel the Lord Jesus's presence there. I am also baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus and filled with his Holy Spirit(yes, speaking in utterance of tongues). Now with me saying that the Lord Jesus can fill anyone with his spirit and give understanding to as well but that doesn't make them a prophet. Ppl get so caught up in a title when that has absolutely nothing to do with holiness and obedience. I've heard messages that I absolutely did not agree with because when you're in tune and stay in the spirit the Lord Jesus will give you a mind of what is and what isn't. Remember if anyone lack wisdom..ASK! ASK in my name(Lord Jesus).

Also I definitely can understand for some seeing the congregation under the anointing(dancing in the spirit or speaking in utterance of tongues) could be a bit different but it's actually truly beautiful to know and see the one on one interaction between them and the Lord Jesus. It's not made for us to understand what's being said because that's between them and the Lord. Now if it's meant for you to leave or stay it will happen...according to your faith. Where you end up is where you were suppose to be. It will all come together for you😉

Now i will say that I do not attend a church(the place of fellowship) because that's not where the Lord Jesus has me right now..but I am IN church everyday because truthfully church IS the ppl/the saints and what's in your heart and also in your obedience NOT a building. Yes to fellowship with others is wonderful but it's not a requirement. With me saying all of this I believe that your precious little one will arrive exactly when she's supposed to so just continue to be in "church" everyday whether you're in a place of fellowship or not.

...but what I'm not understanding is why when she was told her "revelation" did not come to pass she chose to speak fear instead of instilling faith? because God is not the author of confusion and has not also given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind. Keep that in mind🙏❤

I’m sorry you had that experience and I hope you get to meet your precious baby soon. In scripture we are instructed to test everything we hear against the word of God. If it doesn’t line up, dismiss it. I have been in a church before with self proclaimed prophets and I’m very skeptical too, not that I don’t believe it’s possible for people to be prophets, I just don’t think everyone who calls themselves one is really ordained by God or it’s 100% His message. One thing I’ve learned in my walk over time and many denominations I’ve attended: God’s word is true, anything else that seems to contradict it isn’t. I’ve followed teachers and pastors and realized I needed to just glean the good parts of teachings but not every single thing. I don’t throw out the baby with the bath water, just realizing that we are all people, our opinions and interpretations change over time (mine certainly have as I’ve grown), and just follow what you feel from gods spirit in your heart when something doesn’t sit well with you spiritually, don’t put too much stock into it. God writes His truth on our hearts and all his instructions are in the Bible so that’s the basis for my faith and any other interpretations are informative or interesting takes on scripture but not always something I accept as truth.
