I know I usually use this space to vent my frustrations, but I'm so happy today because after 4 months my son finally "recognizes* his dad. Lol. A few posts ago, I asked for advice because Alexander always cried when held by his daddy. He's been staring at him totally mesmerized, as if he was looking at him for the first time, and today he gave his first belly laughs at him. It was a very special moment. I feel like I've helped them bond, encouraging my husband to read to him every day, change his diapers and share his bedtime routine, and of course I'm very proud of it. I feel like we are breaking with our parents' beliefs that only mom has to take care of baby. It feels like a little triumph.
