I won’t trust MIL with my kids let alone ask me for money she can take a hike.

Pay? Oh hell no. My MIL begs me to let my daughter spend the night with her. That’s your grand child, you shouldn’t be asking for money to spend time with them. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Unless it’s like MIL is raising the kid by herself, which obviously isn’t the case.

My mother will ask for like $50 to watch them for date night. My MIL will watch them for free if I fly the girls for the weekend over to her. She will go out of her way and pick them up from the airport and drive them back. My mother would never do that! I still love her but I can’t count on her.

My husbands parents are that way. They expect money for everything. Mine are not. My parents are glad to help and would never think to even ask for money. Mine are obviously closer to my girl and spend more time with my parents.
