So proud of my baby girl for the 1st year of her being in school I had been getting out of bed in the morning and helping her dress and get ready for school until one day I was sitting with one of my friends when she came home from school and she demanded that I get up and come dress her and I told her to try it on her own this time

And she started to cry and refused to change clothes and my friend said you should not still be undressing and dressing her she is 5 years old and I told my friend I know but if I don't she will sit in her school clothes all day and night and I don't have a washer and dryer to wash everyday she said her daughter who was the same age as my daughter was getting herself ready since she was 4 they were 5 at this time and said I needed to stop babying my daughter well I took her advice and for the past three years going into this school year my daughter has been getting up and getting herself dress and getting ready to head to the school bus some days I miss helping her but then when she ready she says how do I look mom and I look at how far she has come from the first day feeling like she couldn't do it alone to this young beautiful 9 year old who say mommy I can do it sorry for the long speech but I'm in aww in how the Lord is working with my daughter
