HELP!!! I just want to cry right now!! because I started going through boxes of my baby boy clothes. Onsies, jammies, all if it 6 yrs in boxes. And everything just over time is now stained and discolored and I don't have a clue as to how to get them clean. Baby boy will be here now less than a month. I'm talking so far 90% of my nb and 0-3 months. everything looks ruined even brand new ones only worn a handful of times!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😩😩😩

What I did was pre-treat each spot with shout. Then I bought some non bleach oxi-clean, and followed the instructions on there. I let it soak for the heavy duty stains, and they recommended 6 hours. All the stains came off for me.
Try baking soda and vinegar bath like literally fill your tub with hot water put a load size in there put enough baking soda and vinegar in and let soak over night rinse then wash them in the morning , my SO had a pair of all white true religions that he sat in a ash trey that was wet and spilled and it set and it was the only thing that pulled the brown out.
No unfortunately they weren't airtight. But they haven't been in any storage units either. I've been picky where they were stored. They've always been in dry basement or closets. I wish it was just dust.
Were the boxes airtight? Try running a load through the washing machine and see how they come up. It’s probably just dust and stuff.
It is possible they are ruined and maybe dry rotted. Storing them in plastic containers can prevent that. But maybe a wash with oxiclean might fix it?
Maybe if you have stuff that the stains won’t come out of you could dye them? Bottles of dye are pretty cheap. Good luck!
