So I have a few questions for moms with 2 or more kids, is it true that the second baby took half the time as the first ? How was the experience compared to the first ? And has anyone gotten induced with the first but went on there own with the second ?
Well for me , I gave birth two both my previous pregnancies @36 weeks . Seriously don’t know if I will give birth early for till 40 weeks :/
1st child was 12hrs from timeable contractions til she was born, 2nd child was induced and took 9 hrs, 3rd child was induced and took 6 hrs.
@bodybycheetos, I’m happy your baby’s are okay ! That’s so scary. Obviously if it came down to it I will get induced for medical reasons but with my daughter it was just because I was so uncomfortable
@khecks21, I know how you feel ! I was 39 and 5 when I was induced and she was 9 pounds 6 ounces. I’m praying he doesn’t go over 9 pounds 😂
@halsey11, so that’s not the case for you. Yours were all over the place.
With my second my dr had to stop labor at 29weeks then I was on bedrest until I was induced at 39weeks. I had to be induced with both my boys due to placenta problems. Labor was the same time wise. I think my second was half an hour shorter.
I was two days short of 42 weeks with my first, born 9lbs 2oz.
I’m hoping second comes easier!!
Not really... I have had five so far.
The first was medically induced at 36 weeks due to Preeclampsia. Hers took roughly 22hrs. The second was 39wks and took about 5hrs. Third baby was the hardest. He was 39 weeks and 12 hours. The fourth baby @39 wks was 4-5 hours. Fifth baby @39 wks was like 18hrs. So no Idt so, but the oldest “typically” takes the longest.
@alize_robinson7 this is my last one! I told hubby my tubes are being tied right away after this one. 3 is plenty enough. I'm only 24 , have them young they said. It will be fun 😂😂
@christina946, omg yes !! Although my daughter doesn’t want me that much anymore so it’s not as bad anymore but in the beginning it was horrible. And congratulations 🎉 I can’t imagine 3
@lillynellasmom, dang that’s crazy ! My first was 9 pounds 6 ounces so I know what you mean by big baby’s 😂 that’s another reason I’m scared to wait
@alize_robinson7 oh girl it drives me crazy sometimes 😂😂 I just wanna sit down for 5 seconds without him on my hip , lol its like world war 3 if I put him down. I definitely can't wait till he's older. I'm pregnant with my 3rd and praying this one will be calmer. My lord girl only if I could have some whine in my life. 😂😂
@alize_robinson7 yes they were saying she was going to be 8lb or bigger. With my oldest i also went in to labor and had contractions about 5 minutes apart only thing is I wouldn't dilate but I thinned out completely but they gave me med so i was able to go to 39 weeks then my doctor didn't think I would be able to have her vaginally so he induce me at 39 weeks almost had to get one because I would have died late yet again but fine at the last minute I was able to push cuz I dilated fully
@christina946, omg ! That’s my daughter 😂😂 I’m praying my son is calmer because that was hard.
Oh yay ! That’s good ! She would have been big if you went to 40 @lillynellasmom,
I was induced with my first , & my first was SO much easier then my second! I swear my second is going to be my trouble child! He's required so much more attention then my first , my daughter didn't like being held she likes doing her own thing she was always quite , now to this day 5 years later she's still very independent my son on the other hand cries all the time!! If he isn't being held or stuck up my butt he is screaming bloody murder.
@alize_robinson7 yes she was fine only thing was she was really jaundice but other then that she was a healthy 6lb 11 oz baby
@lillynellasmom, dang that’s crazy ! Your second was okay considering you was 36 weeks ?
I was induced with my first at 39 weeks with my second I went into labor at 36 weeks and yes it took half the time with my second.
I was induced with my first at 41 weeks and it was a 32 hour labor of pure hell with 45 minutes of pushing. With my second, I went in to labor on my own at 39 weeks 1 day, had an easy labor at home for a few hours, got to the hospital at already 6cm around 3ish in the afternoon and she was born at 7:35pm. I was actually already at 10cm by like 6 but she was still pretty far up so doctor had me wait longer for her to drop more. I only pushed like 3ish times for her for about 5 mins.
