Quick question for you ladies who have breastfed before. I'm totally new to this! So last night when I was feeding, my other breast leaked milk. They're very firm, painful, and feeling engorged- but when I press on them, nothing comes out.. I'm terrified I'm not producing well? Or is it too soon it won't just flow out and is still semi colostrum? (3 days PP now). Baby seems fine and not hungry, so maybe she is just drawing out whats in them? I'm so nervous about not getting milk in 😥

I didn't breastfeed as i was unable but have you tried pumping to realeve the pressure? Pumping will also help increase supply 😁

Definitely try pumping, to me it sounds like they’re full that’s how mine feel anyway. So either nurse, or pump 😊

Instead of pumping I’d try a hakaa silicone pump on the opposite side to catch what’s leaking. Pumping too early can lead to an oversupply which can end up being equally painful. The hakaa will draw our some if the milk to make it more comfortable.

Do not pump. I've breastfeed 5 children (still nursing my 6mo old) and it sounds normal. Use a hot (as much as you can stand) rag and press gentle (massage) on the breast. Checkout some YT videos for more info. It will help you. Be patient with your body, trust it knows what to do to feed your baby. Make sure baby is eating often or as much as they like.

You're doing great momma. The milk doesn't usually spray out just from squeezing. At least not for me. Pumping with a traditional pump this early can create oversupply and a haakaa can do the same.

Also colostrum is milk enough for baby. Their bellies are so small at that age and if she's wetting diapers frequently, that means she's getting enough
