When we first got our dogs we didn’t wake them but if they whined we took them out

Oh no no let her sleep!!! Her bladder muscle are getting strong..start using a trigger word like potty when you ask her if she's gotta go then she'll start to learn what it means and will tell you, by Wagging or barking.. Dog trainer for 4 years.. Beautiful silver lab pup 😍

We just got a puppy too. I don’t wake him up at night. If he wakes me up i take him out! We’ve had no accidents overnight! And only one accident so far today!

@braindeadmama, how old and what kind??? We have a crate in our bedroom and one in our laundry room. Both are big with dividers so she only has the room to sleep so she doesn’t go in her crate.

@ashleywit31, 8 weeks! And he’s a mutt, so aussiedooddle mixed with malamute. He has a crate, but he whines all night so i let him sleep with me and he does fine lol

@braindeadmama, haha. He sounds cute. We are crate training for the day and night. I’m sure once she is older, we will let her out in our room at night. The crate in our room is covered with a blanket with the exception of the side with the door.

I tried that he still cried all night lmao. And i like my sleep. So getting up once or twice rather than hearing him cry all night. I’ll take it. By crate training do you only let her out to go to the bathroom?

@braindeadmama, oh my goodness! Look at that fro! 😂 She is out most of her day, but will take naps in her crate. She probably goes in twice a day and then at night. When my hubby is on days, she will be in the crate at least two days a week for 8 hours, so we are getting her used to it. I’ll come home at lunch and let her out and stuff.

@braindeadmama, we are off over the next 3 weeks combined, so someone will be home with her all day, everyday.
