My SO just texted me he will be staying a extra week at work so the week he was suppose to be home…
My SO just texted me he will be staying a extra week at work so the week he was suppose to be home he isn't. I literally cried in sadness and anger. We miss him so much got my hopes up I am just happy I didn't tell the kids yet. A whole month with out him being home. How yall oil field wife's handle this?

It sucks and doesn’t help much by saying but you just get used to it.. 🙁 my SO has a 28 days on 14 days off schedule so he’s gone more then he is home... I wish I had my baby already to at least not be so lonely... I just spend as much time as I can at work and with my parents. Always good to spend time with them :) bless y’all girl. This life isn’t meant for just anyone!

My husband works in camp as well but for a gold mine. He doesn't get the chance to ever stay an extra week or anything. He says when he was with his ex he would tell her he was starting extra time but was really just doing his own thing

@babyanthony24 mine has 21-29 days on and only 7 days off. I was doing good until he told me he won't be coming home. I know I will get use to it though

@victoria-ashley ya do am I. We been together for 4 years and he just started at the mine 3 months ago. hes gone for 2 weeks and home for 2 weeks
