Omg!! I'm losing my mind with these damn fruit flies! I have bombed the house, have apple cider…

My aunt always put apple cider vinegar in to a glass, put plastic wrap over it and then poked holes with a toothpick. It always seemed to work well. They can't get back out with the plastic wrap on top

@megand15 I've tried that and after 3 days there was 2 in it

@chadandtanya14 dang. I'm not sure what to suggest then. I know we had them bad for a while with a bag of grapes from no frills 😶

@megand15 ya I have 5 fruit trees in the yard so I think they came in thru the screen but now I can't get rid of them at all. I haven't had out any food or fruit or anything at all in over 2 weeks and have had the flies for 3 weeks!

@chadandtanya14 that's frustrating. I wonder if you could spray vinegar and water if that would chase them off. I know it's kinda like leaving the glass.... 😔

@jessgarr- dont they live in the vacuum? As soon as I go near the sink they scatter so I'm octopusing it with wet hands trying to catch them cus they stick better when my hands are wet lmao

@chadandtanya14, After they get full of dust they aren’t good for much. I used to keep a piece of plastic wrap with a hair elastic over the vacuum nozzle just incase they found their way out but I now use my hand held and the dirt spins in the canister so I feel they are getting tumbled to death lol

@chadandtanya14, That’s why I like the vacuum they don’t fly away until im right on top of them and then the suction is so that they get stuck in the wind current into my vacuum. Lol
