Thats what im saying. But my mil and fil dont want me to bc its her first birthday. I also told them it saves money. Its not like im goingnto be doing it every year. So i told my fil that imma do it anyway and all he kept say was its a bad idea its her first birthday. Yea no kidding its her first birthday but i want to do something for my brother and daughter. I basucally helped my mom raise my brother cuz their dad hasnt been bc he is in prison and i just want to give thwm a good birthday. And all my mil said is that its a tradition in their fanily that they celebrate the first birthdays

Maybe they think that it being together it will over shadow your daughter. Just make sure everything is equal between them.

My daughters birthday is the 3rd & my nephews in the 6th but I let her have her own first birthday. We will do them together now but the 1st was just so special

I personally wouldnt do it unless they were the same day the celebration is to celebrate them coming into this world my daughters is Nov. 17th and sisters is the 19th.... We had two seperate parties and never acknowledged the others birthday... One yr my husbands family wanted me to cancel my daughters birthday party because that was the day they were having the family Thanksgiving day party... I told them no we would show up with a cake they could wish her a happy birthday because it was the actual day of her birthday (the 17th) and we would go celebrate with the rest of the family... They threw a fit and one of the aunts called me while i was out to eat with my sister and was screaming at me over the phone the whole place could hear her... I asked to call her back three times but she wouldnt stop so i finally cut her off yelled at her we arent fucking coming then if you cant acknowledged its her birthday you guys can shove the chips and cheese we are suppose to bring up your ass and hung up on her... They tried claiming they had been planning it for 6 months but didnt tell me or my husband about it at all till Nov. 1st and i had just mailed out the invites to the birthday party hence why we got the call because someone had to recieve their invite...
