So you give him a set amount of money to take out, he uses the card to fill up the car with gas anyway, and this means you get to pick where y’all go this weekend even though it’s his turn? Just wanna make sure I’m getting it right. 😂

@phoebesmommy it is but he get a spending limit because I take care of the bills and everything else we need for the girls and then I have a little money for myself. Also he doesn't watch what he spends

@lillynellasmom my man is the same. My husband asks before he spends anything. Even on gas he will ask how much he can put in. Hes the only bread winner as I've never worked since we have been together but he has no clue how much Bill's are or what he can spend so he always asks 😁 a financially unhappy momma hes not cool dealing with when I have a set plan every 2 weeks with what has to be paid

@lillynellasmom since he doesn’t watch his spending, can you just hold the card and pull cash for him? That could solve the problem.

@queenmeeks I normally do that but since he had to go to work and I know there was no gas in the car he took the card this morning. Only times when he does that is when I don't want to get up.

@braindeadmama it comes out of his money since he is using my car and drving it all over the place. Yes i have money put aside for gas when i get my car back from him but its not as much because i do t drive all over the place like he does.

@phoebesmommy because he has his own car that is his and the car he is driving is mine and i have spending money that is just for me and so does he and that how we talk. Our relationship is different than yours.

@lillynellasmom, yeah but why is your gas money built in as “spending” money is what I’m asking. Like for us our gas money is a specific amount a month regardless of who is spending it. So it’s a “bill” money. Not a “fun” money

@braindeadmama because the amount of gas he spend is not the same each month so if i have that set he is shit out of luck and cant drive. So that why it in his spending money so if he gose over it he uses his money.

My husband is the same way. I budget for all the bills and he has no idea how much anything is. I give us spending money and when we use or spending money he goes to the credit cards. Than he hits me the next month with, BUDGET A LITTLE EXTRA TO PAY ON THE CC. Very annoying! Than I go and look at the CC account and realize each time he used it was on me, the girls or dogs lol. Than I feel guilty for feeling mad that the next month I have to go into saving to pay it off.

I’ve taken the CC from him when he maxes them out. I feel bad because I don’t work so it’s like I’m taking his money. He learns his lesson and 6 months later we are back at it lol. I just don’t get men 🤷🏻‍♀️.

@braindeadmama there is no real average for him since he also used it for work there are times he dosent even drive it for work and times he drive all over then when he is off he drive all over gas is not that much and $500 just for a week is more then enough for him to spend plus gas.

@braindeadmama yes that's a stupid amount of money and my husband can find a way to spend it in less than a week. Lol that's why he has a spending amount lmao before we had kids and before he met me he always had $1,000 in his pocket to be able to spend so he's used to always having money and being able to spend and is still trying to get used to not being able to spend that much.

It not all bad he does buy some things i do steal from him that he wont even remember he got. I have also sold somethings as well and got my money back and put it back into the account.

@braindeadmama I knew what i was getting in to when i married him. I am the totally opposite than him I like really cheap clearance barely like to spend money only on occasion will I spend a lot of money but then I have buyer's remorse and want to take it all back. I always say he makes up for what I lack in being a girl lmao he likes to spend he likes his bubble bath he likes his hair products and candles. He also knows he has a problem that why he had me give him a spending limit.
