@catlikethief i havent had my ei since july 14 no clue when/if im getting it back

I know service Canada will sometimes help you go back to school if you've been on maternity leave within the last five years, are they providing you with that assistance now instead of your maternity EI??

@avianlouiebos, Would it maybe help if someone went with you once you did the emergency intake via phone and got assigned an appointment to meet a worker

@fakoffyeh I applied for an exception to stay on parental leave and go back to school

@beakymcspence yea but you have to go down and meet with a income support worker and im like super shy and got anxiety about stuff, sounds stupid i know considering its affects my future but i dont get why you have to meet someone you never had to do that with EI

Ugh what a disappointment! I’ve mentioned it before, but if you contact Alberta Works and explain your urgent situation they will get you set up quite quickly. They would provide monthly benefits until Avian was 12 months of age.
