My daughter just turned 5 months 2 days ago and I'm thinking about switching her nipples she's on size 1/slow flow still but don't know how to go about it or if I even should. When she drinks her bottles she sucks so hard the nipple and bottle’s air goes in and I have to take it out her mouth for a second so the air can go in, is this a sign I should change it ?

I would think so. Try it out and if she starts spitting a lot out while drinking, you can always go back to the slow flow.

Just try one and see how she does first. I would maybw have one shes used to handy just in case she doesnt do well with it, but I think at her age she'll be good with the change. It sounds like she's sucking so hard because she's not getting it fast enough to make her happy. I think I changed my boys to the faster flow around 4 months and they did fine.
