If he comes now, he will be fine since he is still considered full term.

@tashamagolan 39 weeks is full term but yeah I'm not worried about when he comes, he is 2 weeks ahead weight wise, I just am hoping to keep him in until September so he is a Sept. Baby lol but it isn't crucial by any means.

@heilwife317 37 weeks is considered full term, but im sure he'll stay in until sept! Good luck

@hnnybnny88 37 used to be full term and some doctors still say it but ACOG (which is what docs should be going by) now recognizes full term as 39 or 40 weeks. https://m.acog.org/Clinical-Guidance-and-Publications/Committee-Opinions/Committee-on-Obstetric-Practice/Definition-of-Term-Pregnancy?IsMobileSet=true
My OB therefore follows ACOG and 39 weeks as full term.

@heilwife317 the hospital and the OBGYNs here consider 37 to 40 full term. Late term preemie is 35 to 36w6d

@tashamagolan makes sense. They are working from the old way. I am not saying 37 weeks wasn't at one point. Just that it is 39 now. :)
