Levi is the same way. His main words are easy, Papa, car, outside, and bye bye. That’s it. He has said up to 12+ words now, but he only uses a handful. He won’t repeat words. He’s dropped words. He’s just not interested in talking at all yet. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just keep working with him, but I’ve decided to let it go for now and not put so much pressure on it.

How do you and your spouse work with him at home?

@mhbb3 what do you mean, we speak English and Spanish to him. I'm not worried though, he understands things very well

@mom2squared yeah that's what I do. I mean honestly as long as they understand, they will talk when they talk. His pediatrician says she isn't worried, unless he is like 3 and not talking. And plus now that they say very few words is good improvement. Like Noah would wave and say bye bye and then all of a sudden he stopped. He knows commands and where his body parts are, what objects are. Like I know 100% he knows what everything is, he just will speak when the time comes.

@bluepenguin, same here. Levi’s comprehension is on point. It’s just hard not to stress over it but I’m really trying not to. I was reciting nursery rhymes at 18ms 😱 so I guess I just assumed our kids would take after me. But on my hubby’s side, all the kids are incredibly intelligent, but the boys just talk later. And hubby is like that now. He’s a quiet person for the most part. How early or late kids talk is not an indication of their intelligence. People forget that.

@mom2squared yeah I was an early talker and Walker my parents say. Haha so I was worried that he wasn't saying much but baby babble, but I'm not worried anymore, I heard on my dad's side the boys were late talkers
