Hi guys, good morning. I’ve just had my 12 weeks (first) scan yesterday at the hospital and due for a 16 weeks scan with my midwife at my Gp in 3 weeks and a few days. Is it basically the same as the 12 weeks one where I get to see my baby and also get to take the scan pictures home or it’s different?

It’s not normally a scan at 16 weeks it will be a appointment with the midwife, check you heart rate ect and possibly hear baby’s heart beat, depending on the midwife, some do some don’t x

You dont get a scan at 16 weeks hun...you just see your midwife for a check up...:) you get a scan at 20 weeks...that will be your last one :) x

I got pictures at mines. I get scanned every 2 weeks though and it’s by a consultant not a midwife. I don’t think midwives scan you. Well I’ve never been scanned by a midwife xx
