Breastfeeding/Pumping mamas i need suggestions. I'm so upset, I keep trying the pump I got through insurance (lansinoh smart pump) and the suction sucks! I get nothing from it, even on highest settings,I have proper size flanges and everything. Reason I got this one is cuz reviews were so good on it and I didn't see any complaints . What can I do?

I find manual ones work better (for me anyways)
They are usually pretty cheap at Walmart or something. (30-40$)

@momma_moreland it is thats why I wanted to pump to try to get her more and make sure I dont dry up, this pregnancy has sucked lol. Its also changed the taste of my milk from sweet to salt which is why I think she's been clinging to my boob cuz the salt taste dries her mouth. She drinks water, and diluted juice but she still clinging to her milkies

I personally don’t believe in the “nipple stimulation” to induce labor , but is your baby still nursing as normal? Your supply maybe dropped? How many oz are you pumping ?

@jellybeans_mumm yes shes still nursing, more often now though, I'm sure my supply tanked, before I got pregnant I could pump a 5-ounce bottle easily out of my one breast that she didn't nurse on all night but ever since I've been pregnant I'm lucky if I get half an ounce when I pump. I know she doesn't require as much milk anymore but it's still very frustrating because I can feel that my supply has dropped though she's been on my breast more often trying to keep getting milk and they're not like shooting milk like it used to when squeezed not to sound gross

Go to WIC and rent a medela

@mhbb3 I have a medela from my first pregnancy, even that one isnt getting any more than an ounce. I also know nothing about wic, but I'm sure we wouldnt qualify, and id rather let someone rent it that needs it more, but ty

@snowy_owl9, do your breast feel full? Since she isn’t nursing as much she your supply probably did drop and since your pregnant as well , try seeing a lactation consultant and see what they recommend for you ..

I have this one to and I hate it so I now use a medela one. Good luck I would look online or wic.
