Anyone else’s parents have a hard time accepting their pregnancy?? My mom is really weird about this. I’m 32 I have a house to live in and I have a job. Also, I’m with the father. He’s not running around with anyone else and he treats me good. Wishing she would get over this awkwardness she’s creating.

Is it because you are not married? I know some parents are that way. Once you get a big baby bump and or baby is here, I think it will go away or at least calm down. She will probably get really into it and get into the Grandma role. If this is your first child, she may also be adjusting to the fact that she’s a Grandma now and her baby is having a baby! That can be a lot for someone to take in. I’ve seen some grandparents refuse to let their grandkids call them “Grandma” because they are so freaked out by it- even though they are a total Grandma and love their grandkids. Some don’t feel “ready” or feel it ages them to that classic granny in tweety bird, if you know what I mean.

@amysbabies, I feel like it’s her husband influencing her thinking. Like honestly I think she wants to be happy and excited but she feels like she can’t because my stepdad won’t approve. He just hates everyone lol there’s no pleasing that man. Hopefully she just does the right thing and supports me.

@melissaredfield87, my sisters are super on board with this. Actually they are the first ones i told just because I knew the would respond In s positive way. After suffering two miscarriages they understand how important it is to be positive.

@alice-quinnsmommy, I hope it passes quickly lol I don’t want to do this without her. I feel like if she doesn’t want to be a part of the pregnancy she doesn’t need to be a part of the babes life. Selfish I know but I’m in my feelings right now.

@candacerenee I understand wanting her, a mom is the one who's always been there for anything whenever she was needed but I don't think it's selfish. There are people that were big in my life that started causing problems and I straight rold them to get their shit together or they weren't going to have a part in either of our lives. Lots of people walked away. I'm not suggesting just do that with your mother, unless you really feel it to. But I don't think it's selfish at all. 💜

@alice-quinnsmommy, thank you for that. This is my first child so all this is new to me. Especially these emotions. I guess it’s just difficult because I always put her first and now my child comes first. I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ I’m just confused and scared and excited at the same time
