Hi fellow moms. I’m in need of help, I have a 2 year old (coming close to 3) and I’m struggling with potty training. I know he’s doing his best but any tips?? Especially with going number 2, he’ll sit on the toilet but I think it freaks him out a little and he’ll jump up and run leaving droppings on the floor. 😞

My son did the same thing when we first started. I ended up giving him a tray and letting him color while he sat on the potty. It made it less "scary". Then I ended up telling him if he pooped in the potty, we'd get him a fish. That worked. So then we got him a fish, and we'd constantly remind him that he got it because he went poop in the potty. After that... Every time he'd use the potty, he'd instantly want to go look at his fish when he was done. Lots of praise and excitement... Never made it a bad experience, even when it gets frustrating.
