Help!!!
I have PCOS, I’ve been spotting off and on since June. I haven’t had a cycle since April. Today I went to my women’s check up and the Doc stated it was time for me to take birth control to regulate my period and hormones. I am soooooooo against BC but I am to a breaking point. I want another child...
I feel lost. Anyone, please share your thoughts and experience please.
@senecachristine, it’s all good.... I’ve learned to accept it and enjoy every moment. Don’t get me wrong I have my days but then I count my blessing 😊 ugh I have but it’s super pricy about $10k not including the meds
@lucylu2, oh wow , I’m so sorry girl that’s really tough, I am also very irregular but that only happened after I had my son I was always regular. Have you looked into IVF ?? I know it’s super pricey though
@senecachristine, it took us 9yrs girl. My last two OBs before the one I have now sucked big time. All they wanted to do was put me on BC since I am irregular... finally my OB helped me and we only did one round of Clomid and BAM! But here I am almost 3yrs later and nothing. Since I had sooo many cyst she had to refer me over to a specialist, we did 3 rounds of Clomid and two rounds of Gonal-f and one IUI and nothing...
@lucylu2, I don’t have insurance either so I pay out of pocket for everything, my gynecologist told me that birth control isn’t good to be on especially if ur trying to have a baby , they help you get on different medication but I don’t know everyone is different but birth control isn’t the best to be honest. It took 4 months to get pregnant with my son and this time it’s a pain in the butt 😩
@senecachristine, girl I went to one of them low cost family planning clinics for my well women’s exam (my OB was charging up the butt, since I don’t have insurance at the moment) and she put me on BC, I hadn’t had my period in 4 months and got it a week after my exam... I haven’t taken them just because idk how I feel about them
@lucylu2, yes my gynecologist in Mexico prescribed them I’ve been on progesterone pills for 5 months now but next week will be starting ovulation pills. Are you on anything?
I feel ya girl, my son is 3 and it’s been so hard trying for baby 2,, I’ll be starting ovulation pills soon and currently taking progesterone pills to help me get my cycles.
@lucylu2 everyone has different opinions on what is best for pcos, it can be so frustrating trying to figure out what will work for you, personally I won't be going on any hormonal birth control ever again, it wasn't worth all the stress it's caused me in the long run xx
