When did you send your baby shower invitations out? Wondering how soon I should send them from the…

2 months I sent out a paper invitation, 1 month I create a Facebook event and added everyone to it, 2 weeks I did follow up calls/messages/etc.

Im sending mine out this week..cause i want people to rsvp by next month on the 17.. So i can get a head count that are going.. October 7 is mine which i will be only at 24w.

Im have my shower early due to the holidays and to be prepare if i go early then my due date of january 27.plus i dont want people to drive thru snow storms..

I sent mine out last week and my shower is on September 22nd

@cardena25, yeah I’m due Dec. 29 but thinking of having mine in October towards the end or middle so that way it’s not too close to the holidays and we will still have time to go shopping for what we still need.

@fishinamanda heehee thanks. I am an event planner...so I do invites a lot for bridal showers, weddings, etc. :)

@fishinamanda definitely do the Facebook event page because then you can "remind people" without them feeling like you are hounding them. Things like posts that they get notified for saying,

Post 1: "a few people were asking so just a reminder we are registered on Amazon and here is the link"

Post 2: "omgoodness we are getting so close to celebrating with you all our baby bundle! I can't wait to see you all."

Posts: Any DIYs you make for the shower you can share...i.e. "Having so much fun prepping for our HP themed party, look at our future sons adorable Hedwig lovey I just finished!"

Know that even when you get all your answers plan for about 10 less. We invited 70ish, 20 were out of state, so 50 rsvps, we finally got all of the rsvps and had 40 say they were coming, about 30ish showed.

@heilwife317, Thank you you’re awesome!!!! I have two people wanting to throw me one but my little sister wants to “throw me one”. But I’m so controlling that I like to be over it lol

@fishinamanda my MIL, sister in law, and friend hosted my local one. However, when I told my MIL how many we were inviting (it was coed) she was overwhelmed. I created a Google doc with a break down of each element: food, drinks, games, decorations. And assigned people to each thing to make sure we got it all done coordinated. I shared the doc with all of them on Google and we easily communicated through it to make sure everything was on track, I highly recommend doing that too if you can. :)

I sent mine out a month before but that wasn’t a good idea lol a lot of ppl had plans that day I probably should have sent them 2 months in advance or do a save the date like I was intending to then sent the invites

@fishinamanda exactly.. And yes like every one said do a fb page. I did mine as soon as i got my hall to rent an having it co ed.im already at like 40 ppl coming mostly friends and its pot luck too.. Just one big one.. To get it done n over so i can see what is needed after...
