@batmom16, we use scent free detergent, soap, I only put his cream and Vaseline on, he had a reaction to the aveeno oatmeal stuff when he was a little baby. I think because the weather is crazy in Georgia it flares both of my kids allergies up

You may also want to try a milk and oatmeal bath. It will help sooth his skin.

Try covering that area especially at night. See if your dr will give some medicated lotion for it. Try switching to sent and dye free body wash, shampoo, detergent, lotions you may even need to not wear parfums they can be irritating for baby. I've suffered since birth too. Just need to learn what your baby will and will not tolerate. Best luck.
