So my little guy has his first cold. He got it Friday. It hasn't been bad but last night he started this thing where he is either asleep or super fussy and always either crying or on the edge of crying. He seems unhappy doing anything other than the bottle, or sleeping once he cries himself to sleep. I haven't noticed a fever. He is a little warm but it doesn't seem bad. Should I take him to the doctor? There doesn't seem to be any signs of an ear infection but he just isn't himself. Also he isn't finding comfort in the things that he usually likes. Even though I don't have milk anymore (I had to quit due to ppd) I'm totally tempted to try breastfeeding him. He always found comfort in that when I did it but since I don't have milk anymore would it be wrong? I'm just so desperate. He seems so miserable right now.

If you feel comfortable, then go ahead and try. Your baby and your body, your choice!
I’m sorry he isn’t feeling well. Could he be teething at all on top of the cold? Does he take a paci?

@humblewarriormama I don't see any teeth comimg but with the way he is drooling and chewing I wouldn't be surprised if he was teething. Thankfully, he takes a pacifier but even that seems to be not enough he sucks and cries sucks and cries. Just isn't himself :(

Just try it mama! It’s worth a shot and even tough you don’t have milk he can use it as a pacifier and hopefully find some comfort .. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 fingers crossed he feels better soon

@mct, maybe try putting the paci in the freezer for a bit to make it cold. Some babies like that and it helps numb the area a bit.
Poor little guy, it’s so hard to see them in pain!
