My baby shower is already turning out exactly how I thought it would 🙄 everyone’s busy on that day…

I feel you. I didn't notice mine was hi na be labor day weekend so we chnaged it to the weekend after

Yeah I already have one saying that she won’t be able to come if it’s not late in the afternoon. Mines gonna be around October

@itslinny, yep that’s why I didn’t want to spend no crazy amounts of money on everything to have ppl not show last minute.

@jenny955, yikes when we were planning I almost made that same decision but I caught we pushed it back to September 22nd and that has be on edge because I’ll be 37 weeks and that’s so close to my due date I see a lot of moms on the app giving birth between 37-40 weeks so I know it’s possible.

@fishinamanda, yes I have about 3 people already whose saying they can’t make it and I know my family isn’t coming because we aren’t close but my mom was insisting to still send an invite to be courteous

@lee-lee, it seems these days people don’t think showers and birthday parties and such are a big deal. It’s sad

@lee-lee yeah ill be 37 weeks to for my baby shower it makes me nervous because he's full term then so he could come anytime after that or even before its hard to guess with your first. Ita my first so anything could happen

@jenny955, yes and I think I’m more scared because it’s my 2nd and my body knows what to do now. I’ve been having Braxton Hicks contractions like crazy. With my first son I didn’t start getting them until late in pregnancy with this baby I started getting them in my second trimester.

@lee-lee yeah same I'm been having them to make me nervous! I dont have anything really set up yet waiting till after the baby shower. But I have most of his clothes washed and put in drawers. Got some big stuff already but its not set up yet lol

@jenny955, I have nothing done lol I’m waiting until after the shower too I have like 4 pajamas and 2 5 pack Onsies I’m waiting to see how much we get from the shower to really purchase my fiancé has a lot of family and friends coming.

@lee-lee I guess ill just play it by ear if they get really painful then ill just go to the hospital but other than that I dont know what to expect

@jenny955, lol I’ve been saying the same and yea the best you can do is time them. I didn’t time mine with my son I just knew those wasn’t Braxton Hicks they were really painful and it woke me up out my sleep abruptly.

@lee-lee yeah this is all new to me. The signs I'm mostly watching for is contractions water breaking or bloody show
