Hey ladies im 6 days postpartum and I been breastfeeding my baby but my nipples are so sore blistered hurt and have small balls and the both breast are hard even when I pump I’m in so much pain I know she isn’t latching right but I’m hoping I can go to Wic and get help plus worried because when I had my baby we was in hospital for 3 days next day had her little check up and she lost a whole pound they was concerned so I have to go this Tuesday I’m so worried that if she isn’t eating enough or is still loosing weight please help ladies please and thank you

My baby was 5 pounds 4 oz & lost a pound. So I breastfeed and formula feed to get her weight back up. Plus I don't know exactly how much milk she gets so I do both

Try putting some coconut oil on the sore nipples. Look up different ways to hold baby when nursing. Keep trying to latch. You want your the majority of your nipple in baby’s mouth. Baby’s lips should almost look like a fish. It’s hard but keep trying don’t give up yet. The first few weeks are always the hardest. Good luck definitely see a lactation consultant

Try gently massaging your breast with a hot and then cold towel. If you don’t already have some get some nipple shields to help her latch on and use lanolin to help heal your sore nipples. All those things worked for me. Also, try the football hold position, I found that one to be the easiest, you can get a better grip on her and your breast at the same time.

It’s ok she will gain the weight in next 2 week that happens with all baby do not worry about it I have the same feeling when I had my first last year keep doing what you did and about your nipple try cram after and before breastfeeding they’re a lot in wall mart all work with me b4

Get some lanolin and a nipple shield. The nipple shield saved our breastfeeding relationship, so much I’m even still breastfeeding at 7 months pregnant. My nipples were bleeding they were so bad.
