Anybody else have Type 1 diabetes while pregnant or gestational?

@ashley.mcnabb.04 i have gestational from what they know but I could have had it before getting pregnant but i dont think so

Type 1 diabetic with a 5 month old here !

I have gestational I just found out a week ago I meet with the diabetes Dr tomorrow first time having it out of 5 pregnancies

@momofemersonbliss what did you have to keep your blood sugars? Between 30-100. ?

@ashley.mcnabb.04, depends on age . My target right now is between 70 -150 . I’ve been diabetic since 3 years old , I’m 25 . But I wear a insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor .

@momofemersonbliss oh well with my pregnancy thats my range. They have me checking 7 times a day. Im worried about developmental issues even though i stay in that range. Been diabetic for a year.

@ashley.mcnabb.04, as long as it’s controlled you shouldn’t have any problems . No extreme high or lows . You’re 15 weeks , most of the stuff they’re worried about happens in the first trimester . Third trimester it gets tricky . You’re on insulin?

@momofemersonbliss yeah. Shots. Humalog and Lantus

@ashley.mcnabb.04, oh ok . I’ve been on Humalog all my life . Third trimester you tend to need way more insulin .

@momofemersonbliss okay. Yeah the baby has kept my blood sugar pretty low so far. Not to worried about high. The highest ive been is probably 140 but ive been pretty low
