Cosleeping toddler and newborn...
So my toddler will be 22 months when my newborn is here. We sleep with my toddler in the middle of my husband and I. Sometimes she still wakes up in the middle of the night to cry a little looking for a hug or something. I’m afraid she won’t let the newborn sleep or maybe the newborn waking up every 1-2 hours won’t let her sleep(light sleeping). My plan is to have my newborn in a playpen next to me.
How did you survive those first weeks? Any tips or recommendations?

My son was sleeping next to me until i brought the baby home. It was easier to have him lay on his toddler bed mattress on the floor next to my bed than to put my newborn in the pack n play. I started off with him on his bed by me on the floor now after 3 months he is in his own room!!! Maybe you could do something like that. He would wake up in the night and i would just lay him back on his toddler bed and pat his back and he would go back to bed. At night i would hold his hand until he fell asleep.

Girl , when I first brought my son home the first month he wouldn't sleep at night at all , he was colic and would cry at night all night long from 10pm -5am every single night!!! For a whole month straight. It was hard especially being a single mom to 2 children.

My toddler has been transitioning to her toddler bed which is at the foot of our bed. She woke up several times the first couple of nights but last night only woke twice and barely whined, I went and gave her her sippy cup and patted her a few times. The newborn wakes and only grunts so he doesn't wake her up.
