Any high risk mommies? Do I need a special high risk dr ??

Yes all my pregnancies are high risk but you need a doctor to confirm and refer you a high risk specialist they will not see you without an order !!

You just have to let your ob know if she or he doesn’t already know your health and about last pregnancy if they agree which if all that happened they should and they will contact an high risk doctor and send you there . But you will still go see your regular ob throughout the pregnancy as well . I had a new doctor this year so I just filled her out about last yr pregnancy and she was onboard and set me up at the same high risk hospital I was at before .

@kennyshakur, so you’ll have your monthly appointments with your ob and all your blood work and sonos and NST test if you get those done will all go through the specialist. They both will work together with you the whole pregnancy

Hi, I was high risked also. both doctors worked together I just took lots of more ultrasound.

I’m high risk when I went to a regular doctor 👩🏽‍⚕️ she referred me to a high risk clinic. So your regular doctor will refer you to a high risk clinic
