The closer it gets to school the sadder I become. I didn't think I'd be this upset about my ds…

First days are always rough! You’re watching your baby be all grown and a piece of your heart is left at the school on school days. Your home is a little lonely without all your kiddoes.

I cried with my first and I know I’ll for sure cry with my others! 😭

@messybunmom the thing is, I'm not a crier. Like at all. He went to all day, four days a week preschool so I should be used to it. I met his teacher yesterday and he seems great. Parents can volunteer whenever they want. I've actually been putting off getting all of his school supplies put together

I feel ya @leenie, my first son is starting kindergarten in a little over a week. I just got his bus schedule and class schedule today. I’m def going to cry. What am I going to do all day without my little man?!? I have his brother who will be 4 in September but I’m going to feel so lost without him!! It’s hard to just hand your kids over after 5 years. I’m getting all emotional just writing this response. Now I’m sad thanks😢

@ss3mom oh I'm so sorry to make you sad too! His first day is the 29th 🙁 I have the option to put him on the bus, but he's just so little. I'm having my mil drive him

@leenie, well it’s not u that mad me sad it’s just the whole thing!! My son starts the 27th. I didn’t get much of an option as far as driving vs busing!! It’s was almost like an automatic bus!! There’s so many kids in the neighborhood then fill up the bus so I guess it just standard here. I’m sure I could drive him but he likes riding school busses so he’s really excited for that lol. I just know I’m going to cry

@ss3mom do we live in the same neighborhood? Ha. Busses here are automatic but I told the school I wasn't comfortable with him riding a bus. He just so little and he gets picked on. I could actually walk him up the school if I had to. It's right up the road

@leenie, no I’m in pa!! I’m sure I could have taken him to school but they are doing remodeling of the school and the parking lot is crazy small. So he’s going to take the bus.

@ss3mom I love it when schools remodel (sarcasm) I know it's needed and kids need a fresh environment to learn, but they have all summer for that

@leenie, they’ve been working on it all summer. Cause I went for registration in like July!! The new wing looks like it’s going to be really nice. They are making 2 more classrooms for kindergarten. So they have 5 classes of kindergarten. Crazy right?!?

@ss3mom oh wow that's huge! We just moved here in May so I'm still getting used to everything. I was told there's only one preschool class and like four kindergarten classes only. There's only the one teacher per class. About fifteen students he said. I hope the remodel is done for you soon

@leenie, yes I know!! I think they have about 15-20 kids per class. I’ll find out more next week at back to school night. This is my first child going into kindergarten so I’m so new to all this!!

@ss3mom did he go to preschool last year?

@leenie, yes but only for 3 days a week for 4 hours a day. So he will be gone from 8:10am to 3:40pm. What am I going to do all day without my bud?!? His brother will be home with me but he goes to pre k with the same schedule above!!

@ss3mom oh wow. That's not a long time in school. I'm sure he'll do just fine ☺ you and brother can enjoy the quiet, maybe take a nap! With your alone time, maybe start up a new hobby? Knitting? Crochet? Start making Christmas gifts early

@leenie, I know I feel like that’s a long day for a 5 year old!! I think I’m going to sign my 4 year old up for mommy and me classes at a place called my gym. I did it with my first for a few years and it’s so much fun

@ss3mom oooh that sounds like fun! My fil wants to put my ds in tae kwon do (pretty sure I butchered the spelling) he wants to pay and everything! So I'm thinking of putting my girls in tumbling class

@leenie, oh that’s fun!! Yea the gym class Is much fun. They do hour long classes with me being there. We always had a great time at my gym

@ss3mom growing up I never got to do any of that fun stuff. I was always so jealous of the other kids who could. Now I have my chance to participate and I think it will actually be more fun being an adult 😉 I still have to wait a bit though. I still don't have a car 🙁 we are supposed to be (helpfully) getting a van in October!

@leenie, I know right?! Growing up it was just play outside with my sisters and amuse ourselves lol. Now a days we have to keep them busy all the time!! They didn’t have any of this growing up haha

@ss3mom I have many brothers and sisters (some full, some half, some step. It depended on who I was living with at the time) so there was always someone to play with. I were never bored. I'm still so excited to try these activities with the kids ☺

@leenie, same. I have 3 sisters one being my twin and 2 older sister. Then 2 step brothers who lived with my dad. So when we were there we played with them a lot. We aren’t ever bored but I feel now that we have to keep our kids running/going all the time or else it’s bad. At least my kids get stir crazy. I mean I do too but I’d love to be bored for even 1/2 a day lol!!

@ss3mom our days are pretty full. When it's super hot out I keep them inside and they go crazy. My ds will play in his room for a bit, but my dd1 needs to be entertained like some sort of princess. Ha. Dd2 is attached to me. Literally. She didn't take a bottle or paci. I just got my tv set up so we've been just chilling watching movies

@leenie, yea we’ve been going to the pool all summer and it’s so exhausting for everyone. But I’m don’t like playing outside sweating my butt off!! So there have been some days when we just have to stay inside and play games and what not. My boys play pretty well together so that’s nice. They will play on my ds’s room for a little until they start fighting lol. My ds2 was attached to me for like 2 years now he’s pretty good with playing with his brother. Give me a little time to do stuff around the house or just chill out for 10 mins

@ss3mom where we moved there's a beach about an hour away. We've been there a few times. There's no hose or anything so I can't set up my small blow up pool. It's a pain to do
