Do any of you ladies know what I can expect from a consultant app tomo? I haven’t been informed what it’s going to be about, all I know is that when I had my 12 week scan they said I will have regular scans through out because with my last pregnancy my bump was measuring small & I had regular growth scans, and when he was born he weighed 8lb7 so they considered him a ‘big’ baby? 🤦♀️🤷♀️

Usually they tell you what the appointment is for. It could just be a general chat with you to discuss what this pregnancy will include due to your previous pregnancy’s, Like an automatic referral. My cousin was high risk in her previous pregnancy and is under the consultant for her current one.

At all my consultant appts I was given a BP check, because mine was high and spoke with my consultant about any concerns he or I had. Got all my scans and glucose test arranged. Your first one will most likely just be a booking in appt, nothing to worry about.

@mariapb, thank you, hopefully mine will be straight forward then, I did have high BP towards the end of my pregnancy with my 2nd so maybe that has something to do with it.x
