How do you do the car seat test before you leave the hospital with a Graco 4ever? With my first we…

Sorry to say but you have to take it out of the car and give it to them to test the baby in it.

@lillynellasmom Yeah, that's what I figured. My mom wants me to just use the old seat for the test.. blah blah blah. But I obviously want them to test the baby in the seat he will be using the most! I will find someone else who doesn't "refuse" to do this important thing for me lol

@babymay2016 lol maybe she will come around my husband did not want to take out the car seat both times just because he did not know how to put them back in and did not want me to have to do it even though he refuse to learn how to do it. Lol until recently.

@salt. Oh, well what do you mean? They require a 4hr "car seat test" before you can leave the hospital with your baby. To make sure baby can regulate their temp/heart rate/ and breathe well in the seat for extended period of time.

@salt. Oh well that's strange. I like that they do the test, cause with my first he failed the first time and his oxygen levels dropped dramatically. We had to do it again. They fit the carseat perfectly to baby and make certain it is safe before you leave. Then they also follow you down and watch you put baby in the seat too.

@salt. Yeah he was born at 36wks. Maybe that's why. But he wasn't tiny or anything he was still 8lbs 10oz

Idk, at the hospital where I gave birth to my son they required the seat come in the hospital. He was born at 38+2 with no issues. Though I think our test was only like 30-45 minutes or something. But it was definitely a requirement. And they came out with you when you leave to make sure baby is in safely.
