So my baby is 3 1/2 months and he hates lying on his back. Ever since his first day home we have always laid him in an elevated angle in his crib by using pillows and a thick beach towel at one in of the bassinet. He is becoming too long for his basinet to stay at this angle. Doesnanyone eslenhave an infant that does not do well.on their back. He always spits up a lot.of.milk when lying flat on his back. Its as if the milk is just coming all the way back up from his stomach like.his flap does.not.close after he eats to keep.the contents in.
@ajowens1547, thats the name of his prescription, im debating going to get it.
My baby has a Ranitidine prescription for her reflux and it is a miracle!!
There are things called wedges for babies to sleep on, my nephews slept on them when they had reflux and colic! Maybe try looking into that?
I’m sorry, I’m not really sure. My baby doesn’t have reflux, your post just sounded like that’s what your baby has. You could ask your pedi on alternate ways to resolve or at-least clam his reflux down maybe?
@hail, the pillows and beach towel are under the bassinet not in the bassinet with him. Its in between the bottom of the bassinet and the part he sleeps on top of. His bassinet is right next to my bed also amd I am constantly checking on him.
@hail, i think so. But the only thing I've been doing for that is keeping.him elevated at all times. Will hebgrow out of it without prescription.meds? His pedi wrote me.a prescription a month ago but i don't want him taking meds.
Also, it’s really dangerous to put pillows and other things in with baby when they’re sleeping.
@charlisiagunn also, lots of burping and don't lay your baby flat on his back. When feeding keep his head higher than the body.
