It’s not possible to “spoil” a newborn. Your baby was in your body for 10 months. They don’t know how to be codependent. You are the only thing they know. They learn to self soothe once they’re a bit older.

Your 2 week old is not spoiled. He just spent 9 months being held in your warm belly. He needs that comfort still

Imagine being in once safe warm dark place for 10 months and being pulled out. It’s all different for them. 2 weeks is not enough time to adjust to everything changing around them. Hold your baby. They’re only this little once.

He’s a newborn he can’t be spoiled.

I found that older generations claim that we spoil a baby just by holding them. I think they forget the first few months of motherhood.

You can’t “unspoil” him, because he cannot be spoiled. Hold your baby, mama. If you need to get some things done, baby wear. Don’t let other people make you feel like you’re doing something wrong by loving your baby.

He needs all of Mama's snuggles you aren't doing anything wrong it's your baby you can hold him as much as you want.

A lady on FB said the only time she held her children even when they was newborn was for feedings and to play with them for a little while the rest of the time they were either in the crib or swing. She was encouraging another new mommy to do the same thing 😡😠

It isn't your fault. That's how newborn babies are. Like others have said, they don't know what life is like outside of the womb. All they know is the closeness they felt in the womb. Snuggle that baby. They don't stay little for long, that's for sure. 💙
