This is Luke, he is almost 11. I made a post a couple days ago about it but I got an update. Last night my mom text me and said they were hoping to get Luke out of the hospice hospital in the next couple days... this morning's update from his mom is saying that nothing has actually, really, changed. He probably won't be leaving and he may not leave with his family at all. Last night he was in inconsolible pain and again and the morphine had to be increased. The pain keep coming harder and the drugs are constantly having to me increased to try ro counteract it and keep him as comfortable as possible. This is a little boy who has spent the last, nearly 7 years of his life doing nothing but falling backwards. He is almost 11; he cannot walk, stand, sit up on his own, eat through his mouth; he has a g-tube, he is in diapers, he cannot speak, he lives his life in pain either in a chair hooked up to a tube, or laying on the floor, or sleeping, he is constantly sick and has to wear and oxygen mask and have a tank always ready, when he is sleeping he suffers with either nightmares or just fear (we can't tell, he just wakes up screaming), he has awful seizures, he is nearly blind (he can see blurs and colors), he is losing hearing. It's heartbreaking to watch him go through this, suffering from someone else's decisions. There are still prayers being asked for. Prayers for healing, prayers for relief, asking that whatever needs to happen for him to be comfortable anymore.
