I need advise. Im not TTC, but I'm not really taking precautions either.. I'm very in tune with my body for the most part, I spent quite some time getting to know my body, when I'm fertile, when my period is coming, what my cm is like at certain days of the month, etc. My husband came home March 2017 and by May 2017 I was 6 weeks pregnant. Anyway, my period is ALWAYS right on track, even after having 3 kids and an 18 week miscarriage. I have a 30 day cycle, 5 day period, and my first and last day are usually very very light, and I'm usually fertile between CD 14 and CD 19. I have never used OPKs and I found a pack of 7 and 2 (9 total) that I bought right before I was pregnant with my daughter. So the day before my period was due I took one for the hell of it and it was positive, the next day my period was due but never came. So I took another OPK being curious, it was still positive. The day after that my period came full force (full force like I just gave birth), well I was still curious if I would get a positive OPK now that I had gotten a period, so I took one, and it was still positive. I took one, once a day til they were gone and I still had my period, and all were very clearly positive. So I had positive OPKs for 7 days straight and 5 were while on my period. Well as of yesterday, I still l have positive OPKs but I've been bleeding for 9 days now..
I know it's very rare to be fertile on your period, but it's also weird to have positive OPKs for 7 days straight.. Has this ever happened to anyone or know if it's normal to have positive OPKs on your period or would this be something you would consider to be abnormal?
Here is a picture of 6 of them. They have been sitting a few days now, but they are just as clearly positive as they were right after I took them, I'm aware they are no longer valid, but I wanted to show a picture of them.. I accidentally threw 1 of them away but that was positive too.

I heard once positive opks can indicate pregnancy

I would buy an actual pregnancy test and test for pregnancy usually so many positive opks can mean pregnancy

@kellynicole @mombie. Thank you, I didn't think to take one because I was bleeding so bad, I figured there was no way a pregnancy would still be viable.. but I think I'm going to go the safe route and check with my obgyn..

@me.mykids.and.i, probably your best bet is to go to your ob especially if there was a lot of bleeding but some women still bleed heavy when first pregnant best of luck to you!!

@mombie. I agree. I figured I'd ask on here first because I'm not too familiar with OPKs I was unsure if this happens to everyone when they are on their period or it was a fluke thing that I should get professional insight on. And I had never had any bleeding in a pregnancy, besides implantation bleeding with my daughter and that was literally one wipe and done. But thank you so much for your input.

@me.mykids.and.i, no problem I used them with my first and only got a positive 3 days tops than there would only be one line I’ve never bled with any of mine but just seeing women on here I’ve learned a bit

@mombie. I have an appt with my obgyn next week and I'm taking an hpt tomorrow morning, but as of tonight, I used my last OPK and I'm still positive.

@mombie. Thank you! I'm happy too because I'm so confused, and I'm so in tune with my body that I noticed red flags right away. And I just hope it's nothing serious, even though I'm not TTC and I'm enjoying my kids right now, I won't be disappointed if I was.
