hi ladies so i’m a new mom and am overly paranoid about my baby developing on track. my doctor said she is a little behind in her problem solving, whatever that means considering she just turned 3 months today, but now he’s got me all worried that she’s behind. she doesn’t reach up to grab things, she will if it’s within reach of her elbow to wrist reach (if that makes any sense) but that’s it’s. she does have extremely long arms so maybe they are just to heavy to lift or to long to fully control yet. either way does anyone have any tips to try and get her to start reaching with her full arm, or any exercises to start getting her to progress more?
pic for attention.
My daughter did reach until 4 months, she’s 20 months now and will not stop touching everything 😂
@rocilove4, it’s so stressful! i know they do it at their own time but it makes me feel like a bad mom some
how yanoe
I don’t think you should worry just put things (things she loves) just in reach and belly time as well the toys in front just in reach if she stretches she can grab them and you’ll be fine but I totally get you. My dr said my boy has a small flat head and I went all paranoid bout him the special pillow overload on tummy time and this pair and play thing to reduce pressure in his head so I totally get it
@jakjakattack, did you do anything specific or did you just notice him start?
Don’t feel bad every kid is different and they go at their own pace. Try putting her in a little play mat with toys above her so she can try to grab them or tummy time will also help her a lot. My oldest son was behind till he was 1 and a half I was worried as well but then realized that they will do things when they want to without the stress and pressure of us parents forcing them to do things because we are worried.
@triciaa_mariee, yup totally understand
