Advice/thoughts:
My LO is going to daycare a week earlier so that I can get acclimated with them and vice versa. He is breastfed. I have enough milk to last a couple of months. Should I bring a jug of it with him daily? Or prepare 4-5 bottles?
I was going to prepare 4-5 bottles because what can I say... it’s liquid gold! But what would you do?

I'd bring prepared bottles. Less chance for spills!

@nomli, yes I was thinking this. People like to handle breastmilk like formula and that isn’t the case

I’d ask them their preference. The daycare I looked into wanted me to bring bottles daily but also have some in the freezer in case I were to be late or if there’s an emergency.

Prepare the bottles. That’ll be the preference for most centers. Maybe look into bringing a couple extra bags with you to pop in their freezer just in case you’re late or a bottle is dropped.

We did 4-5 bottles of breast milk a day. Instead of labeling each bottle, I put them in a gallon ziplock and put his name and date on the ziplock. I am cheap, so I would wash & reuse those ziplocks, since all they did was hold bottles. 😆

@scruffy.nerf.herder, now I’m confused... u filled the bottles and placed them in the gallon ziplock bag? The milk didn’t waste out?

@lizology27_bb, I think she means she used the ziploc as a carrier for the bottles instead of like a cooler or lunch box or just carrying in several bottles. They probably just put it in the fridge.

@lizology27_bb, the ziplock with the bottles went into the fridge at daycare. This was easier than labeling each bottle separately. If my son didn’t eat the whole bottle within an hour, they did have to dump it out.
