Guys.... I don’t want to jinx anything, but my 2 yr old has slept from 8p-6a for an entire week. I’m not daring enough to say he’s sleeping through the night yet, because you know it’ll stop if I do 😂😂
Boy did mama need it this week of all times. It was easier to recover from child birth than these 2 weeks of being sick.

What have you done if anything different? My 2 year old just started doing a little better at night

@kbbaybee16, a couple things.
1- we put him in a twin bed. Sounds counterintuitive, but I think he ended up being more comfortable.
2- i try to get him back to sleep with running his back first, if he screams and cries still- I set up a portacrib in our room so when he woke he went straight on there. No cuddles and not in our bed.
3- if he wakes after 6, I go downstairs and started our day.
I wanted him to stop associating waking to cuddles in our bed. We cuddle on the couch for a few.
He *knock on wood* doesn’t get out of bed, he calls for me so that’s a win. If he makes it all night, we make a huge deal out of it. Dance party big deal.

And we had him take part in picking out his bed and bedding so he’d be excited about it!

That’s awesome ! I’m terrified to switch to a toddler bed😳 he’s so hard to put down. We started no tv after 4 since bedtime is 7 and we are fully on sippy cups now

That’s literally our son. I do want to say there is the last sleep regression at 2 so watch for that. But DS1 was just absolutely a horrible sleeper. Around 18 months he just started sleeping better and now after the regression he’s such a good sleeper. He can sleep hoursssss. Just have to time his nap early so he can go to sleep earlier

@ehenzon, my other 2 always were and still are amazing sleepers. This is a whole new territory for me. I don’t believe in CIO, but this child makes me understand why some people resort to it. He doesn’t wake crying, just yells for me and fortunately goes back to sleep easily- unless it’s morning. 5 am was rough today 😩

@jack.ass, that’s what DS1 does now too! Haha if he feels that I’m not in bed he will get up and find me and when I return us back to bed he falls asleep. I don’t know what it is! Haha
