For anyone that had to schedule a c-section:
I was told my doctors surgery coordinator would call me & her & I would figure out a date my c-section would be on.
How long did it take for you guys to get a call?
I already have horrible anxiety... the anticipation is making it worse on top of wrapping my head around the fact that they'll be "slicing & dicing" (hubby's words) me...
I decided last minute to do a scheduled c section, like the day before my due date at my last appointment lol. My ob called the hospital with me in the room to schedule it for the next available day she would be in the hospital which ended being the day after my due date.
@noenahiza idk who to call...
It's literally a random person in the hospital. Not in the doctors office. I don't even know the lady's name.
I guess if I don't hear anything by next appt on Thursday, I'll ask my doctor for her info. Because now that I will be having a c-section, staying an extra 24 hours, and not being able to be as mobile afterwards, we have to make sure we have the right arrangements for the kids. Especially my son who needs a ride to school starting on the 4th. And from what I was told, I won't be able to drive for a few weeks afterwards.
@nschlegel maybe give them a call, i always call when im waiting for some results . the nurses say they will call and never do so i call them.
@noenahiza that is what I assumed what would happened, but apparently my office goes through a "scheduler." They look at how many ORs are open for what day, what day he is available, and available beds. Then go from there... so I get why they do it, but waiting for the call is making this very hard to fathom.
@nschlegel yeahh maybe they will tell you on your next doc appt i hope:) that's why i told my doc i need to know so i can start making my plans and to talk to my job.
