Hey, mommas. Asking for prayers. My ex-best friend's oldest son is in the hospice hospital. We are no longer in each other's lives but I love her boys so much. They both have Gangliosidosis type 2 (GM1); it's a rare degenerative disease. They have been suffering for a very long time: not being able to walk, sit up properly, talk, control movements, been in pain, fed through g-tubes, wearing diapers, dealing with seizures; and it is looking like Luke, the oldest doesn't have very long left. Right now, his body is ready to go but being only almost 11 his will power is fighting to keep him here. He wasn't supposed to even make it to his last birthday, he is kind of a miracle as with his type he is one of only that has lived this far with it. He shouldn't be suffering. Everyone is praying for him to pull through, but I am just praying for whatever gives him the relief he deserves. His mother and father made a decision and the poor boys are having to pay horribly for it. He is so pumped full of drugs to help relieve him right now. He is in so much pain and his heart rate was in the 140s all night. It has started to go down but he is also now with a cathader as he can't even pee. It's heartbreaking and he's really a sweet, precious little boy.
