how do you know your going into labor with twins when your at home?

Count and time your contractions

@itslinny the contractions in your stomach or what contractions I've never had kids before especially not twins

You will know what contractions feel like when you are having them they are painful..to me they feel like horrible horrible cramps. Are you leaking fluids? Did your water break or anything like that? What are your symptoms?

It’s the same as a normal pregnancy. Leaking fluid, bleeding, or more than 6 contractions in an hour go to l&d. If you aren’t sure, call your Dr.

@itslinny the only time I leak is afrer i pee so idk if it's pee or what and I'm not having contractions im taking procardia

@erikanbethune2, I think you are okay then...you will know when you're in labor. If your water didn't break and you're not having contractions I would not worry

Sorry, I just read this is your first pregnancy. Contractions, your belly will feel really tight for 30 seconds-1 minute. If they aren’t painful, just tightness, it’s most likely Braxton Hicks, which are just your body’s way of prepping you for the real thing. If they are painful, time them. If you have more than 6 in an hour, go in. Don’t take any chances with multiples, especially this early.

@erikanbethune2, well my doctor keeps saying I'm going to have a big baby and I'm measuring two weeks ahead so I kind of feel like I won't make it to my due date but you never know! With my first I went past my due date

@erikanbethune2, why are you only going to 36? I’m also having twins, and they want me to go at least 38.

@itslinny, has your dr told you anything? I’m measuring 3 weeks ahead and my OB said the only reason why I would deliver early is if I’m induced but even then it’ll be only a week early. Measuring ahead doesn’t mean lungs and brain are done developing. Hopefully your baby stays and cooks I know my son is already head down so we’re just hoping and praying he stays in there until 39 weeks.

@mrschanandlerbong95 that's when my Dr wants to schedule the c section and i have a really short cervix so I'll be lucky if i do make it that far

@erikanbethune2, oh okay that makes sense well hopefully you can keep them in until at least 36 weeks! But tbh I haven’t felt any Braxton Hicks and if I’ve had them I haven’t been able to tell so can’t be any help there.

@erikanbethune2, that makes sense. I’m lucky that we haven’t had to deal with that. If you ever do think you may be in labor, make sure you get to the hospital quickly, so babies can get the quickest and best care.

@raqueliiosiis yeah im just over it I've been on bed rest i was in the hospital for a week but now im at home and just miserable

@raqueliiosiis being on bed rest not being able to do anything it's hard and miserable and makes me very depressed

@erikanbethune2, I was told by my OB that if for whatever reason my stress test aren’t good I’ll be pulled from work also and be put on bed rest so I understand. Hopefully it flies by if you ever need to talk message me! Don’t get depressed tho you have babies cooking that will make it all up for you.
