Has anyone used a collapsible wagon to get through the airport? How was it?

I normally baby wear and pull one small carry on and diaper bag. It's EASY. But this time I will need to bring a carseat and my son is about 30lbs. I'm thinking I can fit my car seat and carry-ons in the wagon and have the option to strap him into the car seat on the wagon if he gets to heavy... 🤔

I got the carseat cart. We'll be using it in a few days, and it goes in the overhead or under the seat.

We used a cart for the car seat, it was So easy and made the traveling experience less hectic for all involved. I’m not sure about the wagon, definitely call ahead to figure out their policies on checking items like that at the gate.

@mrsskiddish I saw the luggage carts online! They do fold down really small. I would consider that if I wasn't getting the wagon for free through work.

So i bought a cheap rolling luggage cart and strapped the car seat to it. Then strap my kiddo in it and wheel it through the airport. It folds down and we carry it on. You can google car seat luggage cart and get a better idea of what I mean. A wagon would totally work if they let you check that at the gate. I am unfamiliar with how big they are to break down.

@ek620 Yes, I emailed the airlines because I wanted to be sure! Delta said they will check them the same as a stroller with no weight or dimension limits. :)

I’m not sure if they’d let you gate check that. Have you checked with the airline?
