So I met with my lawyer today. We are gunna go ahead and have him served next week and then the lawyer is going to go ahead and subpoena for his work records. I’m going for sole custody. Hopefully 20% of what he makes will go towards child support each month. And he will get 1 hour supervised visitation every other Sunday. And then starting in January he can take him for 4 hours every other Sunday for visitation. No overnights until jack is 6 or 7. I’m super nervous. I have severe anxiety about all of this. I feel like I just keep bothering my friend and boyfriend by talking about this 24/7. 😔 i just want what’s best for my son

It’s not 20% of income. It’s a set amount. Regardless working or not he has a amount to pay. They tell him that he will quit his job if he wants to be a jerk. Have a back up plan with that. I would make it a set amount

@jack.ass, he has been neglecting my son, he recently came home a mess with some marks and a raw diaper rash. He refused to be civil and work together to avoid court before this. I already planned on going to court but I was sstill going to allow him to see our son, until this past incident. His girlfriend messages me and rants and raves calling me a horrible person threatening me that my sons father is going to take him away and make things “fair” for once and for all. DCFS is also now involved and investigating the father for neglect.

Here child support averages out to 33%. It really depends on where you’re from.

@jack.ass, here it goes by how much you make. And the judge wants the person paying to be able to pay all there bills also I guess
